All Indian States Updated Covid Guidelines - Entry, Curfew & Lockdown

As all states across India brace to flatten the second COVID-19 wave, here is a list of the latest Covid guidelines across Indian states: These are the latest rules of entry, travel, lockdown and curfews across India.


Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced a six-day lockdown from 10 pm on Monday (19 April) till 5 am on April 26.

  • Metro services during this period can be availed only by the exempted category of people as per the latest govt. order on the production of the valid IDs

  • Travel will be allowed only up to 50 per cent seating capacity in the Metro

  • No standing passenger shall be allowed during the travel


Kerala government imposes a night curfew from April 20. Kerala government has enforced night curfew (9 pm to 6 am) from April 20 onwards as part of strengthening the Covid-19 protocols after daily cases cross 18,000 on Sunday.

Uttar Pradesh

Allahabad HC directs UP govt to put Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur under lockdown.

  • Weekend lockdown imposed from Friday 8pm to Monday 7am. Only essential services will be allowed

  • Night curfew to be impost in every district

  • Workers of the respective district administrations will screen migrants workers. If they are showing COVID-19 symptoms but are not infected, then the migrants need to quarantine at home for 14 days. While those asymptomatic are required to remain in home isolation for seven days

West Bengal

WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in a rally that she has requested the Election Commission to hold the next three phases of state Assembly polls on a single day.

If not one day, conduct it in two days and save one day.


Amidst a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh, a night curfew has been imposed in Sukma from April 15 and will continue till April 30. The curfew will be in effect from midnight to 7 am.

  • Chhattisgarh has also now mandated Covid testing for anyone entering the state owing to the number of active cases at present

  • Raipur under lockdown until 19 April owning to rise in covid cases


One of the worst-hit states with the ongoing wave of COVID-19, Karnataka state government has introduced another rule.

  • Those booking the halls for marriage will now need the permission of the district administration

  • Guests attending the wedding will need passes

  • 100 people are allowed to attend an indoor wedding

  • For an outdoor wedding, 200 people are allowed


As part of its endeavor to prevent non-essential movement with the aim to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Mumbai Police has introduced three colors-based sticker system. The police will issue these red, green, and yellow stickers to essential vehicles at checkpoints, toll booths, local police stations, etc. free of cost to vehicle owners so as to ensure strict implementation of the system.

Yellow - Essential services staff

Green - Food transport vehicles

  • All groceries, vegetables shops, fruit vendors, dairies, bakeries, confectionaries, all type of food shops (including chicken, mutton, poultry, fish and eggs), shops related to agricultural implements and farm produce, pet food shops, shops related to materials for impending rainy season for individuals as well as for organizations to be open only between 7am to 11am

  • A decision on imposing a complete lockdown may be taken by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the next two days
